SAPPORO CONVENTION BUREAU promotes the city of Sapporo all over the world, encouraging organizers to hold their next event in Sapporo. Their slogan, “FRESH ON IDEAS, WILD ON KNOWLEDGE.” embodies Hokkaido’s unparalleled nature and free spirit. The identity’s graphic typography and energizing yellow express the excitement of sharing insights, setting the visual identity apart from that of competing official organizations.
To promote both the Bureau and Sapporo, we created a collection of promotional items that could be displayed and distributed at booth tables. I managed the budget, designed, and oversaw the custom manufacturing of the promotion tools, including notebooks, pens, eco-bags, folders, folder stands, posters, and neckstraps. The notebook, folder, and folder stand were specially created to our specifications.
SAPPORO CONVENTION BUREAU continues to be a favorite project of mine, as I had the opportunity to communicate directly with the client, collaborate with numerous manufacturers, and manage the budget of a government-funded project. The responsibility was challenging but exciting.
This work and its photography was realized at COMMUNE under the art direction of Ryo Ueda.

SAPPORO CONVENTION BUREAUは、世界に向けて札幌市の魅力を発信し、次のイベントは札幌で開催してほしいと主催者に働きかけています。スローガンは「FRESH ON IDEAS, WILD ON KNOWLEDGE. グラフィックのタイポグラフィと元気な黄色を基調とし、「見識を共有するワクワク感」を表現することで、競合する公的機関とは一線を画すビジュアル・アイデンティティです。
